Thank you to all of our school leaders, teachers, support staff, parents, and students!
Together, we help our school district succeed!

Science Career Technical Education Program. Our county has faced a difficult challenge, holding the highest cervical cancer incidence rate in Alabama. In response, Ms. Jennifer Williams, Health Science instructor and head of the Leadership Academy, has led a remarkable effort in partnership with the University of Alabama at Birmingham,
the Rotary Club of Lafayette, Chambers County School District, and the Alabama Department of Public Health.
Students from both Lafayette and Valley High Schools participated in the Leadership Academy, where they learned how to plan, launch, and measure the success of a public health campaign. As part of this initiative, they created a logo and mascot to engage their peers and the community in the fight against HPV through vaccination and screening. To further strengthen their impact, the students developed a toolkit that will guide other communities across Alabama in creating similar public health efforts. Their dedication has already produced outstanding results. According to the Alabama
According to the Department of Public Health, 81% of students at Lafayette High School and 65% at Valley High School have now completed all recommended doses of the HPV vaccine.
These are truly remarkable achievements that reflect the leadership, creativity, and commitment of our students. On behalf of the Chambers County School District, we extend our sincere congratulations to these students on their well-deserved success. Your work is making a real difference not only in our schools, but across the state of Alabama.

We are deeply grateful for their commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where every student and staff member can thrive. Every day, our principals inspire excellence, nurture growth, and champion the needs of our schools.
This October, we honor and thank our principals for the remarkable difference they make each and every day.

Importance of Student Attendance
As we begin the 2025-26 academic year, we would like to remind all students and parents of the importance of regular attendance and the consequences of truancy. Attendance plays a crucial role in a student's academic success and overall development.
Why Attendance Matters:
Regular attendance helps students:
>Stay on top of their schoolwork and assignments
>Develop good habits and a strong work ethic
>Build positive relationships with teachers and peers
>Improve their academic performance and grades
2025-26 Attendance and Truancy Policy
To ensure all students understand the expectations and guidelines, we have created an informative graphic outlining the 2025-26 attendance and truancy policy. Please take a moment to review the attached graphic.
Let's Work Together
We encourage all students and parents to make attendance a priority this academic year. By working together, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential. If you have any questions or concerns about attendance or the truancy policy, please don't hesitate to reach out to your school administration or email us at info@chambersk12.org.
Let's make this academic year a successful one!
