Lafayette High School Family,

I am so EXCITED  about this school year! Our theme is to Expect to Finish Strong...100%. I have been working in LaFayette since 2007.  I began as a Physical Education teacher at Eastside Elementary (2007-2015), then Physical Education teacher at John P. Powell Middle School (2015-2025), and Assistant Principal at LaFayette High (2019-2021 and 2022-Present) and Assistant Principal at John P. Powell Middle (2021-2022). 

I am married to the former Laura Hanes. We have been married for 18 years and have 2 wonderful children. A son, Thomas (16), a senior at LHS, and a daughter, Natalee (14), a freshman at LHS

Every student is expected to attend school daily and on time in a safe and drug-free facility. Students will be actively engaged in an environment that will be conducive to their learning. Teachers will be given the tools and support to help make this possible. The behavior represented will be reflected in protecting the brand of Lafayette High School Bulldogs.

You can expect your assistant principal to be present throughout the building, campus, and extracurricular activities. It is important to me that you know I have high expectations for each of the students.

As we aim to continuously and positively transform the positive thinking and actions of our LHS students, parents are encouraged and expected to keep abreast of their child's academics through PowerSchool, attend functions, and participate in PTO.
